Construction Crew Foreman

Construction Crew Foreman are responsible for the general and specific micro planning, execution, management, and documentation of the day to day operations and procedures for his/her particular crew.

Construction crew foreman will be issued the following company plant and equipment unique to this position:

  • T-plate tool truck outfitted with complete tool complement
  • Company iPhone
  • Email address
  • Samsung tablet

Responsibilities

  • Fill out and submit JSA’s and conduct tailgate meeting daily
  • Fill out and submit, with client signature, TTS daily
  • Submit REQ forms for P.O.’s, plant and equipment, tools, and HR related requests for yourself and your crew to Operations Manager as needed
  • Responsible for adherence to and compliance with DBWS EHS policies and procedures as well as client EHS policies and procedures for entire subordinate crew
  • Collect, sign, and electronically submit your and your crew’s time cards on payroll submission dates
  • Hold planning meeting every Friday afternoon for next week with subordinate crew, and report to ops manager
  • Report directly to Ops Manager
  • Communicate with ops manager via cell phone, text messaging, and email on a frequent basis (frequency of communication will be determined by the context of the work, complexity of the work, and scope of the particular project)
  • Coordinate the daily micro logistics of members of your crew (ex// meeting times and places every morning. Schedule procurement (request) of tools and equipment you will need to complete your tasks at least 3 days in advance.
  • Serve the professional needs of your crew members
  • Provide vision and direction to crew members and keep crew on task
  • Follow disciplinary measures with crew member when appropriate
  • Ensure BMP’s along with good stewardship and good will to client, company, and co-workers
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of crew members and provide feedback and reporting according to company procedure and policy
  • Stewardship of company property and equipment
  • Accountable for results, goals, and schedules laid out by management
  • Demonstrate continuous professional growth and improvement
  • Represent and carry out company’s core values and philosophies
  • Report any and all injuries to persons immediately to management
  • Report any damages to or deficiencies with any plant or equipment you are working with in writing directly and immediately to Ops Manager.

  • Authority to stop work on any unsafe or potentially unsafe practices or working conditions
